Hello everyone!

We hope that you all enjoyed yourself on Monday! Did you try any of the physical challenges? We did in the Key worker group! The children especially liked the tape on the floor activity and as the day went on the tape pattern changed from a ladder to a zig zag which kept on getting longer! The children were so clever to think of different ways to balance along the tape including walking backwards at which Mrs Penn failed!!

Talking with Miss Shopland and she found a sheet from “Action for Happiness” entitled:

Joyful June (even in difficult times)

Each day I will post the happy activity for the day. Tuesday 9th June:

Find the joy in music today sing play dance or just listen!

Listen to this piece of music it always makes me feel happy the images are beautiful too! What would your choice be?? I think you will make up a great dance!

Mrs Heap came up with a Smelling challenge : “know your nose!” for us to try in school! She put some different items into individual pots and asked each person to close their eyes to guess the smell! It was fun and quite tricky at times! She had smells of lemon, vinegar, curry spices, soap powder, talc, ginger, chocolate and so on. Try this challenge at home. See what things you can guess just from their smell alone! Test your family who has the best nose!

We have discovered that it is fun to add smells to play dough you can either add herbs to some old dough or make a new batch adding a smell to it!

Today’s story is of course a smelly one!! Enjoy!

We hope to see some of you today to do some cooking, gardening, painting and so much more!

Take care and have fun

Mrs Penn  Mrs Heap and Mrs Coleman
