Devon School Nursing Service
School nursing
The School Nursing Service provides information and support to school-aged children and their families who live in Devon or who attend a Devon school.
We work in partnership with schools and other services to identify those children and young people who may be supported by the School Nursing service. This can also include working with schools to support their management of pupils with medical conditions, and contributing to policies which impact on health.

Public Health Nursing Hubs
The hubs are a single point of contact for families and professionals for all Public Health Nursing Services across a specified geographical area. They bring together clinicians and administrative processes for phone advice, scheduling appointments, and triaging referrals and information received.

Texting service
A texting service specifically for parents/carers is available. Text a Health Visitor on 07520 631 721 to get confidential information and advice.

SINGLE POINT OF ACCESS (SPA) ACCESS TO SPECIALIST SERVICES IN DEVON
This includes services such as: Learning Disability Team, Speech and Language Therapy, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS), Occupational Therapy, Community Children’s Nursing Service, Autism Spectrum Assessment Service, Specialist Children’s Assessment Centres, Specialist School Nurses, Children in Care Service, Palliative Care Service, and Devon’s Family Information Service for Children with Additional Needs.
