Hi everyone!
It was so wonderful to see you all yesterday. As I shared with the children, I have looked forward to seeing all of your smiles, hearing your laughs and being together, throughout the Christmas holiday. You definitely did not let me down! Thank you for making yesterday a lovely first day back together. Today, I appreciate is a day of mixed emotions and uncertainty for many of you. Unfortunately, Due to the current situation regarding the virus, the classroom is much quieter today as we move to home learning.
Please be assured that although schools are closed, we are still open and here for you. In KS1, we are thinking of you and wish to continue supporting you as much as we can during this challenging time. Logins went out for Bug Club, Purple Mash and Google Classroom before the holidays. If you are having any issues with any of the logins, please let me know. Each week, a learning timetable will be placed on the website Splash page. This will refer you to Google Classroom where I will be uploading videos and activities that will support you and your child with learning at home. Miss Cameron will also be continuing to provide phonics support through Google Classroom.
Below, I have shared an idea of how your day might look during this time.

| 9:20- 9:45 | Phonics – exploring our sounds and word reading |
| 9:45- 10:10 | Memory games |
| 10:10- 10:50 | Snack and break time |
| 10:50- 11:15 | Writing – handwriting/ sentence writing linked to our phonics |
| 11:15- 11:45 | Maths |
| 11:45- 12:00 | Yoga/ vigorous activity |
| 12:00- 12:45 | Lunch |
| 12:50- 1:15 | Bug Club reading |
| 1:15- 1:45 | Curriculum/topic learning |
| 1:45- 2:45 | Free choice – creative time |
| 2:50- 3:10 | Story time – this will be done on Google Classroom |
