Good Morning Happy Tuesday
I hope that you enjoyed the Sunny Monday in your garden or on your one walk a day.
How many worms did you manage to find?
- Did you hold your worm?
- What dd you think of the worms?
- How many did you find?
I’ve added the link to National History Museum again with the 2 minute clip about worms it also has an explanation on how to bring worms to the surface in your garden. The funny story about worms is still up on yesterdays page https://www.nhm.ac.uk/discover/earthworm-heroes.html
- Add the mixture onto the ground
- Wait for the worms
- See how many you can find?
These pictures show the process… step by step. WELL DONE.
Today’s story … You might already know it.
Click on the arrow so that you can listen to the story of Superworm
Click on the arrow to watch the clip. How to make jelly into Worms.
You might not have as many straws as they demonstrate because of the plastic waste but you might have a couple somewhere in your house. If your can’t make worms, what other ice cube trays do you have at home so you could try making different jelly shapes?
Twig tower block
Today’s Den and Bug Challenge.… On your walk today or from what you can find in your garden, gather some sticks and find an undisturbed, sheltered spot outdoors. Pile up the stick and stuff the gaps with smaller twigs and dry leaves. You will be building a home for ladybirds and woodlice who will love to crawl into the crevices and hide among the leaves.
- Collect some sticks and leaves
- Build a tower for bugs
- OR build a Den for your tiny toys
If you have time and would like to draw a HAPPY picture for your windows to cheer up people on their daily walk, please do send a photo to us. We would like to use these HAPPY pictures to say Happy 100th Birthday to Captain Tom. He has walked 100 lengths of his garden for NHS Charities and our fantastic NHS workers. He is still continuing to walk.. I will print and post all of the HAPPY drawings I receive as one large card from us all at the end of the week.
Thank you again for sending me your photos, we love to see all of the exciting things that you are doing at home. Keep sharing your learning. We will always write back to you.
Enjoy your Tuesday From Miss Butler, Miss Lofthouse and Mrs Breakwell.
