Good Morning everyone
I hope Monday was a good start to the week! Mrs heap and I spent the day with the key worker group who are exploring birds this week! Most of the children seemed keen to make a nest. Mrs Heap suggested a paper weaving activity and others created a nest from materials they found outside.
Challenge: make a nest.
Which animal will you create a nest for? Birds: robin, duck, eagle or maybe a larger extinct animal like a dinosaur!
You could use cardboard to create a shape and fill it with nest like materials: shredded paper, feathers and so on
Maybe you would like to make a real mud nest with leaves, grass and moss collected from a daily walk
Perhaps you would like to try weaving a paper nest; you can use a circle shape
Watch this short video showing some nests
Joyful June activity
Tuesday :Ask each other why you feel grateful at the moment.
I think that I feel grateful that I have a garden I can sit in and grow vegetables and flowers!
I wonder what you will talk about together?
Today’s story links to the bird theme it is called “A Busy day for Birds” by Lucy Cousins.
Do you know any bird songs you could sing at home?
Just to finish, Mrs Heap had a surprise visitor to her garden pond! She sent me the following photo! I wonder what sounds Ching Ching would hear?
We hope that you have a lovely Tuesday enjoying the sun, we hope, and trying out some of the activities! Remember to send us some photos of your fun learning at home.
