Year 3 enjoyed a sunny day out at Stover Country Park. The class took part in pond dipping, which was led by Jo the ranger. The children used nets to catch different pond wildlife and then spent time with Jo identifying what they had caught.
After a picnic in the woods the children explored the Ted Hughes Poetry Trail and listened to the poems. The class then sat in a learning circle in the woods and wrote acrostic poems inspired by the woods and wildlife, some children then shared their poems with the class by sitting on the woodland throne.
