Yesterday at our team meeting Miss Lofthouse wondered if we could set a Physical Challenge for all of the FS children on their daily walk….. So today I am setting a physical challenge which you could explore inside or outside during your one form of exercise a day.
What you will need for the challenge inside is a roll of masking tape or DIY tape.
Place a LONG strip of masking tape onto the floor and you are ready!!
How many different ways can you move along this line?
- Hop
- Jump with feet together
- walk toe to heel
- wiggle on you tummy
- walk backwards
- How many different ways can you think of to travel along the line?
- Can you think of more than 10?
- I wonder if you can use these different moves alongside your favourite song ?…You might start to dance along the line!

- Skip
- Jump
- galloping
- walking sideways
- Jump then Hop
- Walking on tip toes
- How many more way of moving can you use on you daily walk?
