Year 3 are currently taking part in a project called Talking Turns. The project incorporates arts-based learning experiences to enhance children’s engagement with the curriculum. Year 3 have been focusing on drama based workshops to support their writing.
Michael from Paddle Boat Theatre Company, came into school and held a drama workshop based on the Rainforest. The children used their voices to create soundscapes, produced a whole class Rainforest scene and became researchers exploring the specific animals in the Rainforest. It was a great experience and gave them lots of ideas for their writing. Year 3 are looking forward to their next workshop.
