SCHOOL PHOTOGRAPHER
Our school photographer will be in school on Thursday 10th November to take individual photographs of the children. If you want sibling photos or family photos taken, please come to the school from 8.30am where the photographer will be happy to do those. Proofs will be sent home on the same day and photographs will be with parents before the Christmas break.
As a school we are once again taking part in Anti-Bullying Week which runs from 14-18th November. The theme this year is ‘Power for Good’ – we will be supporting children in understanding the ways in which they are powerful, encouraging them to use this to stop bullying and make the world a better place to live.
We will begin the week with an assembly which will focus on this theme and activities will be taking place in classrooms all week to support awareness of all types of bullying and what to do when faced with it. We’d invite you along to our assembly which will take place at 9.00am on Monday 14th November and get involved online – www.anti-bullyingalliance.org.uk
If you have recently completed a BOOTS form, by now you will have been advised that your child will be vaccinated using a nasal spray on Thursday 1st December. We do not
anticipate this being an uncomfortable experience for your child, however if you would like to be with them during their vaccination, then please get in touch with the team at the school’s reception as they’ll be happy to make the necessary arrangements.
reparations are already underway for the Xmas Bazaar that will take place on the afternoon of Friday 2nd December. The Coffee & Cake team and Mrs Louise will be meeting regularly on a Tuesday morning from 9.00am to discuss arrangements and all are very much welcome. If you would like to support the Bazaar but are unable to pop in on a Tuesday morning please let Mrs Louise, Mr Hampton or one of the Coffee & Cake regulars know.
On the 2nd December children are also invited to wear a Xmas jumper to school for the day – contributions of a chocolate variety would be welcomed in lieu of this. These will then be prepared and used at the always popular Chocolate Tombola in the afternoon.
Finally for now on the subject of the Xmas goings-on the team are after jam jars! Do you have any lurking at home? If you do please bring them in to the reception desk and we will pass them on.
