Hello All
We hope that you all enjoyed yourselves over the weekend. The weather was more mixed and a little chilly at times but the sun did find moments to shine which always brightens us up!
This week, like last week, allows you to come back into school to play with your friends in a small group and safe environment. It was so lovely to see most of you and we enjoyed watching you play and have fun creatively learning! This week we have a fun session planned for Tuesday and Wednesday. I hope you agree when you look at the following images:
- Cooking chocolate flap jack as requested last week!
- Exploring paints
- mixing colours to create new colours
- Forest School
- Gardening
- Playing outside
Now, you need to keep having fun at home as well! We thought it might be fun to explore some physical activities developing your control over your large and small body movements. All the activities listed will provide an element of challenge, skill, precision and fun
Place some tape on your floor like a ladder:
Can you jump from tape to tape: 2 footed jump
Can you hop on one leg then the other from tape to tape
Can you do a giant step from tape to tape
Can you stand with one foot on one tape and how far can you stretch the other foot to another tape without falling over!
What happens if you arrange the tape as a zig zag or in a circle can you still manage all the above challenges is it harder or easier?
What about creating a laser beam walk through! You could make this part of a Ninja game!
These next activities require more precision!
- Create 2 or more squares and carefully role marbles into each square!
- Draw a zig zag race track carefully move your car inbetween the lines
Today when I (Mrs Penn) took my dog for a walk on the beach I kept noticing the different sizes of stones and pebbles. If you are able to find pebbles on your next walk to the woods or beach and bring them home you can have great fun turning them into little creatures!

The recent rain showers have been helping my seeds and small plants grow nicely! I can now see 4 baby courgettes and I have eaten some radishes home grown! (My big girl Annie said she did not like radishes but she tried a home grown one and said it was “okay!”) I can also see 3 sunflower plants growing taller! It is so exciting. Are your seeds growing if you planted some take some photos and send them so I can see!
Today’s story is about a little boy who helps his grand dad in the garden. It is called “Oliver’s Vegetables!” by Vivian French enjoy
We hope you all have a lovely fun packed Monday with some smiles a long the way
