Good Morning Everyone, I hope that you had a lovely weekend.  I picked and cooked my first home grown courgette!!  I wonder if my other vegetable plants will grow as healthy, I will have to wait a few more months!

I wonder how well salt dough designs dried out and if you managed to paint them?

I hope that you enjoyed the story that I posted on Friday ‘ While we can’t hug. It really is a great conversation piece which is very pertinent at  the moment,  supporting children to talk about how they are feeling about the current situation is important.

I am sure that you have all had many opportunities to sing and dance together as a family.  When speaking to families on the phone on Friday many parents were telling me how their children were singing along to nursery rhymes or their favourite music.  So today I am going to post a range of musical activities and songs.

Which nursery rhyme or song do your remember from your childhood which you can share with your child?  I was walking along the SW coastal path on Sunday and overheard a dad stating skippity doo dah as his daughter skipped. These words instantly takes me back to the Walt Disney songs….Which Walt Disney songs do you know off by heart!!!?

Which songs from films do you always sing ?

This is a familiar Nursery Rhyme song but with added makaton signs. See if you can copy and join in with the actions.

I wonder if you have every made yourself a dancing ribbon which you can use when you are dancing to your favourite music. Dancing with scarves is another great handwriting activity !!! It exercises the children’s arm muscles while also being, GREAT FUN.

Have a great Monday and let me know which music you LOVE to sing along to;  in the car, or when cooking or while you are watching a film. Keep Smiling and Keep Safe Miss Butler, Miss Lofthouse and Mrs Breakwell
