Many thanks to all the children, parents and staff who made our 3 visiting INSTEAD Reviewers feel so comfortable. Whilst they were exhausted at all the activities and conversations they were involved in, they were totally ‘blown away’ by the way in which parents engage in supporting their children’s learning in Time to Think. Alongside this they were hugely impressed at the way in which children were able to engage in conversation about their learning and their school.
Special mention goes to: Ebonie Goacher, Summer Ross, Ashton Harry, Sam Deighton, Chloe-May Price and Joshua-Paul Price, who engaged in a 30 minutes discussion regarding how Haytor View consistently has such good levels of attendance. They did a great job!
The summary feedback included ‘this school is very special,’ and ‘I’ve never been in a school where children and parents have such a sense of place’.
We will be using the outcomes to support the further development of our provision over the year, and will be putting regular updates on the newsletter.
We wanted the visitors to see the ‘real’ Haytor View, and wow what an amazing job you all did!
