Learning together ~ enjoying success ~ aiming high ~ celebrating difference ~ enriching community

Hello all.

I hope you had a great day today and did loads of enjoyable things together. Thank you to everyone who sent in bits and pieces sharing what you are doing. Today is a Stay and Play day so you could see if you can either play an old favourite game together, or learn to play a new one?

Bug Club are going to be updating their website on 16th May so you will have to type your username and password again. If you click the show me button, it will remind you of your details so you can make a note of them before this happens, but if anyone has any problems, just let me know and we will get them sorted.

For those of you who are accessing this website regularly and using it to inform your daily activities, today can be about finding out about our food, what is in food and why do we need to eat it.

There are 6 things we need to have in our diet to stay healthy. These are called FOOD GROUPS.

Protein                 carbohydrate                     vitamins and mineral                      fat                          water                    fibre

Too much of anything will make us unhealthy. We need to have a little bit of everything so we have a BALANCED DIET. Diet is the foods we eat, balanced means things are in the right amount.

Have a look at these websites. You might want to make a list of foods that we could eat which give us each food group.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kteZneJm1EI – this will tell you more about vitamins, minerals and fibre.

The maths focus this week is telling the time. Have a look at Monday’s post for the details.

Tomorrow is wonderful word day- I hope you are able to share the new or interesting words you have discovered this week as you read or talk to the people around you.

Take care, stay safe and do what you need to do to keep yourselves happy.

All the best

Mr F.
