Hello everyone
As I type it is a beautiful sunny morning so it seems that you are set for some lovely fun in your outside spaces today! I wonder if yesterday you were able to try out the Natural History Museum link to getting worms to the surface and if you did how many worms came up? If not, take a look at this today and have a try~ please send me some photos of you trying this!
Miss Butler has posted 2 new worm related activities on the Base1 foundation stage post. The first is a link to You Tube telling of the story “Superworm” which I am sure some of you will know but it is worth listening to again; if you have this book you can read along with the video. The second activity looks really fun as you can make your own jelly worms!!
I would like to remind you of the song we sometimes sing at school “there’s a worm at the bottom of my garden” several versions of this can be found on You Tube I liked the Mr Tumble version! Take a look and sing along!I wonder if you can find out something interesting about worms?
What do they like to eat? What do they not like to eat?
From my phone calls I know many of you are still trying to remember all your phonic sounds and tricky words which is great! Why not set a challenge that you are timed as you say the sounds and or the tricky words using a digital timer: most phones have a stopwatch timer on them! Can you get faster? This will mean the number will get less!

I hope you are still drawing lovely photos to make people smile and putting them in your windows. We would like you to send us your pictures so we can create a card for Captain Tom to celebrate his 100th birthday and his amazing walks he does each day around his garden!
Please have a lovely day with your families keeping safe and trying some of the challenges!
