IT’S NOW WEEK 3!

Time really is moving on a pace at Haytor View, we are incredibly respectful of the support both children and parents have provided during what has been a very different start to the school year!

Your support has enabled us to have a smooth, safe and swift return to school, the environments is incredibly positive and busy as children go about their day to day routines.

We are always ‘looking forward’ to what’s next at Haytor View, school leaders are constantly reviewing all aspects of school in order to ensure that provision is not unnecessarily compromised in these COVID-19 times.

We will keep you updated on any plans moving forward, however in the meantime to give you ‘taste’ of what has been happening at Haytor View:

  1. The Governing Board have met remotely to review the arrangements for the return to school including Risk Assessment;
  2. Our new Reception children have been warmly welcomed into the school;
  3. Miss Butler has ran a Forest Session for children and parents from the Nursery, this will followed by a Sherborne Movement session on Thursday;
  4. Mrs Galling has attended Safeguarding Refresher training, which was postponed from last term;
  5. ‘Bubble Assemblies’ are taking place in each of the school bubbles;
  6. We have welcomed Mr Edwards into Key Stage 2, who is supporting release cover this term;
  7. Mrs Galling has remotely with the Speech and Language Therapist to discuss how Speech and Language support can be provided this year, in line with both the school’s Risk Assessment as well as the risk assessment process of the Speech and Language team;

We would wish to remind you of our core aims as shared last week: That you children feel that:-

  • they are our main focus
  • they are welcome, safe and can trust us
  • they are back in theirschool again
  • their relationships with others, children and adults, are still there
  • while everything is not quite normal we will manage things for them and keep them safe

Please speak to us if you feel that for any reason your child is not feeling as we, and you, would wish.

You know where we are and how to get in touch.
