A group of children really wanted to find out if heavier cars travelled faster than lighter cars.
They used a balance to work out which cars were heavier and which were lighter but that was not good enough for them. They needed to know the mass of each car. We could not find a measuring device sensitive enough to measure the differences so I popped over to the Co-op and very kindly, Lesley put all of the cars onto the shop scales and we weighed them.
The children were delighted to be able to answer their question much more precisely, thanks to the lady at the Co-op!
