Good morning year 4!

Don’t forget to keep sending in your pictures of what you have been up to for our class display.

Science Week

This week is your Science week and the theme is ‘Light’.  Mrs Russell will be uploading your daily science activities.  Today’s activities will be ‘To understand how we see light.’

Maths

Continue with yesterday’s suggested activities:

  • Task 1 – Exploring Number Bonds
  • Task 2 – Number Bond Fortune Teller
  • Task 3 – Counting and Adjusting (there is a video to go with this).

Once you have completed the task and are confident with them move onto:

  • Partitioning Method to Add (there is a video to go with this on Google Classroom).

Maths – Partitioning Method

Spelling

You will see I have set these out slightly differently.  I feel exploring the word will support your understanding better.  There is a high frequency word and a word from the statutory word list, choose the one that best suits you.  I would suggest doing both.  There will be a new word each day.  As I said last week, I am interested in the quality of your learning rather than the quantity.

HFW Spelling – Across

Statutory Spelling – Arrive

Grammar – Compound Sentences

Grammar – Compound

Creative- Making a Sunset

Creative – See A Sunset Sentences

Reading

Today it is Dahl’s guided reading sessions.  It will be today at 1:30pm.  Remember to familiarise yourself with your book again.  The link will come up on your stream page, on Google Classroom, nearer the time.

Remember today, on Google Classroom, we will be having our class video chat at 9:30am.  Today we will be reviewing last week’s spelling.  The link will be on our Stream Page.  We will also have our class daily story at 2:15pm.

See you later.
