Following our visit from environmental author Ellie Jackson and members of Newton Abbot Town Council, we have been inspired to do something about the global problem of plastic pollution.

We have been supported by Great Western Railways (GWR) who have issued a free train pass for the day so we can carry out a plastic litter pick at Dawlish Warren beach on Thursday 18th July. We will be using litter pickers supplied by Teignbridge Council to help collect as much plastic waste as possible.

Afterwards, we will have a picnic then create some Art with the rubbish we collected. When we get back to school we will find out how we can dispose of the plastic in a less harmful way for our environment.

Parents and Carers please look out for the reply slip next week…
