The annual Torbay Piano Festival took place over the bank holiday weekend at Lupton House in Churston. Leo Golding, Paris Trott, Cody Heawood and Jacob Warren all performed. They had to play their pieces of music in front of an adjudicator and audience – a nerve wracking experience! Everyone performed fantastically well. Cody, Paris and Jacob performed a piano trio (all three of them playing the piano at the same time). They played really well and were awarded a trophy each (see photo), Jacob also won two more trophies for solo performances, these are all on display in the hub for the next few days, so make sure you take a look. The trio played so well that they have been invited back to play again at a special gala concert this coming Sunday (7th May), where they will be awarded a special schools trophy. This will be the first time that Haytor View have ever won this award. This coming weekend also sees the festival continue with all of the singers. Leah Hall will be singing “The Haunted House” and we wish her the best of luck!
