On Friday, 21st June, a beautifully sunny, mid summer’s day, children from year 4 participated in a Primary Olympic Event hosted by Newton Abbot College. As children piled onto the coach at Haytor View, they did so with mixture of hopes, dreams and aspirations, all while donning their new ‘Primary Olympic Event’ T-shirts – not forgetting a healthy dose of crazy hair!

Children took part in a variety of games, from UNIhock, to cycling, KWIKcricket to gymnastics, the children from Haytor View did it all. It was a joy to see such superb levels of application, effort, skill, and most of all sportsmanship on show from all participants, but it would be fair to say that Haytor View led the way in all departments. Each child played their part in making the day a huge success. Well done all involved and a huge thanks must also go to the team at Newton Abbot College for putting on such a fantastic event.
