Today we explored what we could do to stay safe when we are online.

We looked at some resources from  https://www.saferinternet.org.uk/safer-internet-day/2019

We then  role played situations and shared what we thought we could do to stay safe.

There were two big ideas that we agreed.

  1. We are in control of our internet use. We can turn devices of, log out of programmes or turn of sounds and volume down or off. We can take off our headsets if we don’t like what we are hearing and turn off screens if we don’t like what we are seeing or leave a game if we don’t like what is happening.
  2. The second was the most important. If anything happens when we are online that makes us feel uncertain or uncomfortable we should always TELL AN ADULT!

Tomorrow, we will be working with the Year 1s to create something which will help us and others stay whenever we are on line.
