We were all rocket scientists for the afternoon on Tuesday.
We watched a rocket launch and decided we wanted to do that as well so we launched our own water rockets.
There was a lot of questioning and hypothesising about how we could make the rocket’s travel further.
Some thought more water would go further, some thought less, so in the end we clarified our question down to, ‘Does the amount of water change how far the rocket will travel?’
The children then devised their test using their knowledge of halves and quarters and we went onto the field to launch them!
It was great fun! We did three repeats (just to check that our results were good results) 
and realised one or two of our tests had gone a bit wrong (so we ignored those!)
